Just as Alan recommends, for several years I've been using a Cokin P filter holder with the front slot carved off, with no vignetting while using the Rz-2 and 50mm. More frequently I use the Lee combined hood/holder (single slot)on a WA adaptor, and while even with the hood compressed fully there is a little vignetting in the extreme corners, this does not show with the amount of image-area-reduction produced by typical mounts such as the DWV masks I use.

Steve,

As there is no filter thread on the rear element, it is not recommended.

Can a small filter be mounted on the rear of a RZ65mm lens?

Thanks for your quick reply Alan, I had a feeling I'd have to go for a more expensive option.

Brian,

You will experience vignetting with the Cokin P series polariser. However, with the "square" filters, cutting back the filter slots to just one, may overcome any vignetting with those. Please phone Cokin on 01628 674411 for further clarification. Cokin do the much larger X-Pro system or try Lee filters for a polariser.

Does anyone have experience of using square filter systems with the 50 mm wide angle on an RZ? Will the Cokin P size work without causing vignetting?
