New user of Medium Format - Camera shake?

Mamiya UK Forum: General: New user of Medium Format - Camera shake?

I shoot my Universal down to 1/15 leaning against something- and I've not had shake problems. The longer the lens, the greater the issue, especially if you want to blow up pictures to large magnifications, so consider that.

Personally, I'd recommend keeping the speed up as much as possible while not letting the lenses on the C330 get wider than f-8 (I don't like the out of focus rendition of the C330 and simpler Universal Tessar type lenses until F-8). Faster is better.

I apologize for this elementary question, but could somebody indicate to me what minimum shutter speeds I should be aiming for to avoid camera shake in medium format photography. With 35mm kit I know you should aim for atleast the reciprocal of the focal length of the lens used, but using my newly aquired C330S, I havn't got a clue,
regards, Jamie.
