The pin you refer to should move freely and can easily be pushed in (unless it is damaged) to enable the filter to be fitted to the adapter ring.

Hello,

I just got a Mamiya linear polariser for my Mamiya 7II and 65mm lens. It comes with an adapter ring so I can fit it onto my 58-mm lens. I followed the instructions, removing the adapter ring from the filter and screwing it onto the lens. However, as I do so, a small pin on the adapeter ring pops out and it is impossible to push it back in. This little pin prevents the filter from fitting on top of the adapter. Surely there is something wrong?

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong here!
