Glad all is well with you, John - I hope "Keedwell" get's whatever is due them too.
Like I've said, I'm not - apparently - due anything, which is a pity. HOWEVER..
..I'm getting a cable release and some kind of case for 'things' which together is worth over the 10% I thought I was getting.
My thanks to Mark - and I'll write everyone to say that the matter is closed and the fabulous outcome.

Received my cheque today from JP. Thank you. Thanks also to the Post Office who managed to deliver it to me as the address was a little obscure.
Suggestion for JP. Perhaps in future promotions of this type you could generate a promotion form that would include all relevent information, it may speed up response time to enable purchasers to receive their 'carrott' quickly. The form could be requested by the prospective purchaser.
Alternatively, use customer details supplied on the guarantee card to ensure correct mailings and not the sometimes obscure scribble found on hand written sales receipts. Thanks all. John.

It seems I don't qualify but they intend a 'goodwill jesture'. I'd like a wide angle in any kind of state or maybe a new winder (new-style, any condition). But either way it seems I upset the person that got the first email about this and for that I are really, genuinely sorry.
I was told by JP - shame I never got the person's name - that the head was included in this promotion but now I'm told it isn't..
Anyway, I've spoken with Mark and he assures me something will be done - and that's an end to the matter so far as I'm concerned. Glad you got a cheque John: seems I won't.

This message is from Mark Langley the Marketing Director of Johnsons-Photopia, the UK's official ditributor of Mamiya.
I have decided to post a message on our forum to clarify the situation regarding some comments that have been made by a Mamiya user named Nik and more recently 'Anonymous'.
I am the person who called Nik yesterday (ref his latest message) and I have yet to have a response from him. I would also like to clarify that we have not blocked his access to the forum, there seems to be a technical problem.
With regards to the 'Cashback', the situation is as follows:
Nik bought an AE prism for his RZ on the 13th Sepember 2002 and promptly sent in his claim for a 10% cashback. The promotion in place on that day is the same promotion that we are currently offering (see the Mamiya frontpage). Unfortunately the promotion clearly states that the 10% cashback is only available on non-standard lenses and the Mamiya 7II body. It does not apply to the AE Prism.
We wrote a letter to Nik on the 20th September advising him of this situation but it would appear that it never arrived.
As it does not qualify we cannot send Nik a cashback.
If Nik would like to call me my direct line is: 01782 753372. Email: [email protected]
I would be more than happy to discuss this matter. If I am unable to take the call please leave a message and I will call you back.
Mark Langley.

Why am I "anonymous"? Because the password/name authentication won't accept me anymore.
Can't hardly wait for the explanation in any 'further' mail I am supposed to get.
Nik

Got a call from somebody pertaining to be JP representative. Asking me to call them - heard that one before and the music on 'hold' stinks.
Interesting that nobody has contacted me until I involved the Press..?
Oh, and whoever it was that called insisted that I've been sent several letters - isn't just uncanny that anything like this the letters always go astray, and if you're getting a bill it arrives almost the day it was sent.

I bought the AE head (701) for my RZ Pro II, and this was in the dates required..
..how long do I wait before I get the VAT-free refund for almost seven hundred quid?
I've already sent guarantee cards, receipts, called Johnsons, emailed JP, etc., etc....

Now into October I trust you received your cashback perhaps you could let us know the outcome.
The reason I am tagging onto this post is that I have just bought two Mamiya 645 non standard lenses from a small local independant retailer and wondered how the current 10% cashback works, there is no documentation with the lenses, any help appreciated. I had thought of ringing Johnsons Photopia but thought I would try here first. Thanks. John Tindall.

Hello, I recently had a bad expereince with Johnsons Photopia with their cashback scheme.I own a couple of RZ bodies, and sevearl lenses, so my investment with Mamiya is quite substantial.I went to buy a new lens (a 50mm) and there was a 10% cashback scheme. Great.
Thing is, it has taken over two months to get the cash back, still with no luck. I have sent the ORIGINAL receipt which I need for my accounting, and have rung up several times, and after I get past the minutes of recorded messages and "which department do you require" I get put through to a voicemail sometimes, where nobody has the couretesy to phone me back! Unbelievable! I call the next day then get assured that the cheque has been sorted from the accounts department, and I should expect a cheque soon. That was three weeks ago, and have phoned again. Same story, cheque in the post....Still no cheque, even though I was told this on Monday (It is now Saturday!)
Come on Mamiya or Johnsons Photopia, whats happening? If you want good will you treat your customers better than this!
I dont expect to be fobbed off any longer.
