Mamiya UK Forum: General: Bellows comp explained? ...not yet it isn't

Photiki,
Please refer to the scale on the side of the camera body. From the lens list, refer to the 127mm. and the horizontal band extending to the left. The white part of the band requires no compensation, the lightly shaded portion requires a half stop and the darker shaded portion requires 1 stop. It is where the band disappears behind the body casing (distance scale) that you read off the compensation.

If this is not clear and you are UK based, please phone 01782 753330 or provide us with your e-mail address and I will send you an illustration.

I know this question comes up allot to new users of the RB. Now I have seen other people ask before but I'm certain the answers have never explained the damn thing. Can anyone explain to me in simple verbose terms (yes spell it out like your talking to an Alien) how I work out my bellows compensations for a 127mm lens? He who shows me the light wins an imaginary vodka martini!

Apreciated,
