Where are you going to get 220 film from? To the best of my knowledge, only a couple of different films are available. You can however, modify the 220 insert to accept 120 film by removing the little plate on the right-hand side held in by two screws (just compare it with your 120 insert if you're not sure).
I have a 645 Pro, and it is similar to the 645E except that it is modular (and slightly better built). I was going to purchase a 645E, but I bought the 645 Pro S/H for the price of a new 645E. With the speed winder attached, you should have a camera which handles much like a 35mm SLR (except heavier).
I know that I haven't been much help, but I hope you enjoy your Mamiya (I hope that you still have you Nikon, or did you sell it to fund the Mamiya?).
