I think the service dept may have an odd one or two of these cables left.... ring Peter Wood on 01782 753346 to check.

Having acquired an excellent condition Universal Press recently, I have noticed that the black lever wind 6x9 & 6x7 backs have an option to plug the main cable release into their base from the shutter connection. I assume this is to facilitate shutter release where the trigger hand grip option is not employed, and I assume it help double exposure accidents with the older back with no shutter inter-lock ? However, I have found screwing a conventional cable release into the top connector on this type of back to not have enough 'throw' on it's sliding pin to fire the shutter. Does this type of back require a special cable release (like the grip to lens shutter type) or is there a current day source for them or clone ?
