I am still getting to know my new (second hand) RB Pro SD so any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

When I load film I can wind the winder without a problem, but as soon as I hit the first frame I seem to get stuck. The only way I can seem to wind and shoot is to slide a small slider at the top centre of the film back after every shot, otherewise I'm totally stuck.

The first few times I loaded film there was no problem at all - I could wind, cock the shutter and shoot without a problem. So I'm thinking I must have changed some setting without realising it. I tried to look it up in the manual but no luck (couldnt even find a label on the part that I slide to make the winder wind after every shot)
