There is a "time" setting on these cameras - the release button being on the left hand side of the lens mount panel. However, if the shutter remains open at all settings, I suspect they are faulty.

Hello group. I have come across two of these unusual cameras (leaf shutter/iris in lens, with mirror as main shutter blind) in the past two months, one being a complete set with all three lenses. All I can gather is that they were built in the early 60's. They both seem to have the same problem: one long shutter speed, regardless of setting. Would this have something to do with the unpowered Cds meter, or should I accept that they are for show only? Any knowledgable comments would be gratefully appreciated.
