A metal focal-plane shutter with vertical travel operates at up to 1/4000 sec. to meet shooting requirements from portraiture to high-speed action, and to assure accurate exposures with even the largest-aperture lenses.

With flash synchronisation at speeds up to 1/125 sec., the shutter enables effective application of daylight synchronisation. A shutter interlock activates automatically to protect the shutter slats if the film magazine is removed.
